Thank you letter from Parker (El Salvador trip!)

 Dear friends and family,

Thank you so much for helping raise support for my first mission trip to El Salvador.

I had a blast and I've already decided I would like to go back next year. This was my first time out of the country and I learned a lot about how God has a heart for the lost and how he uses us to share his love.

Here are some of the highlights of the trip:

First of all, the food was excellent, we had amazing Salvadorian food, such as pupusas which are pretty much just cheese cooked inside of a thick tortilla, (it's better than it sounds) we had the greatest spaghetti ever, we had Salvadorian chicken and rice and much more. But the food wasn't the only good thing, on our last day we went to a lake and rode on speed boats to a beach where we proceeded to swim, and that night we had a big bonfire.

We went out in teams of 5 to 8 people to install water filters/share the gospel. every two houses we would alternate roles. At every house there was a friendly person to talk to whoever we were installing the filter for, the person to install the filter, someone to help the filter person, and the person to share the gospel. I did every job at least twice even though I wasn't very confident. I am still learning and I think it will be better next year. It felt good to be able to provide clean water so they don't have to go buy it. I am thankful I can turn on my sink at home and get clean water when I want to.

I was very blessed to be able to go on this trip. Thank you for supporting me and praying for me.

Please enjoy a few photos from our trip!
